Hooded Sunshirts: More Versatile Than You Might Think

Over the past few years, mens hodded sun shirts have become quite popular. Usually, these shirts are made from thin, breathable material. They are also UV blocking, which means they protect your skin from the dangers of the sun. Some of these sun shirts also come with attached hoods. At first, you might think a hooded sun shirt is unnecessary or a little silly. But actually, these shirts are far more versatile than you might think. Here are some situations in which you may want to wear one.
At the Beach
At the beach, you want to relax in the sun and soak up all the warmth, but you don't want to get a sunburn. Applying sunscreen can help, but sometimes, you need something a little extra. Or perhaps you're sensitive to sunscreen and you would rather avoid it. If you wear a hooded sun shirt, you can protect your whole upper body from the sun without getting too hot. You can even pull the hood up to protect your head, which means you won't have to wear a hot, sweaty baseball cap.
On Your Way to Work
If you walk to work, you may be worried about protecting your head, forehead, and back of your neck from the sun on your walk. You may not want to apply sunscreen to these areas knowing that you'll then be indoors all day. Putting on a hooded sun shirt under your work clothing is a good alternative. You can pull the hood up as you walk, giving your head some protection. Then, tuck the hood back under your worktop to camouflage it for the day. Most sun shirts are made with thin material, so you can easily stash the hood under a polo or other casual work shirt.
When Gardening
You can be exposed to a lot of sun when you're working in the garden. The back of your neck is particularly vulnerable because you're bent over a lot of the time. And wearing a hat is hard because it might tip off every time you bend over. The hooded sun shirt is the perfect option here. It protects your neck, and the hood won't tip off like a hat.
