3 Outdoor Clothing Pieces To Gift Your Dad On Father's Day

Posted on: 10 April 2020

If you have a dad who likes to do a bunch of outdoor activities like fishing, hiking, and hunting, then there is no better gift to give them than something that has to do with one of their favorite outdoor activities. Rather than giving them something like a new fishing rod, why to gift them with some new clothes that will make their outdoor experience more enjoyable and comfortable overall?

1. Outdoor Hiking Pants

When your dad is walking through a lot of brush and trees to get to their ultimate destination, whether it be for hiking, fishing, camping, or hunting, their legs can get really scratched up if they aren't careful. One of the best things that any outdoorsman should wear is pants that are made of a thicker material that will protect them when they are walking through a lot of forests. If you can, try to find a pair of pants that is also water resistant so that they can wear the pants underneath their fishing gear.

2. Flannel Shirt

Flannel shirts aren't just for fashionable purposes but they make a great piece to add to every outdoorsman's uniform. The great thing about flannel, in particular, is that it is extra warm without being bulky, which means they can wear it throughout the entire day and then take it off if it gets too warm later on. The fun thing about flannel shirts is that they can wear them both during outdoor activities or to work if their uniform permits it. Look for a men's double pocket flannel shirt for your dad. This way they can put some of their outdoor tools in their pockets when they are outside.

3. Outdoor Socks

How many times has your dad come home from a fishing or camping trip with their feet either super wet or cold? Every great outdoorsman needs a few pairs of really nice outdoorsy socks that will keep their feet dry and warm when they are doing what they love to do the most. Just make sure that you choose a pair that's moisture wicking as well so if their feet get sweaty or a little wet, it doesn't seep through their socks all the way. Although these socks can be super costly per pair, they are definitely worth it.

Keep these things in mind when you are out shopping for the ultimate father's day present to give to your dad this year.
